About the event
A cozy hour for parents and children to slow down, listen to a story, and make something beautiful together.
We'll gather for a live reading of The Moon Maiden and the Fireflies, a retelling of a Japanese fairy tale about a little girl named Tsukiko and the small, precious moments she shared with her family. Then we'll try Tsukiko's simple ritual together and talk through a few gentle questions about gratitude and noticing the people we love.
To finish, each family will make its own Gratitude Jar: a glowing jar decorated with tissue-paper pictures of the things you're thankful for, lit from inside like Tsukiko's fireflies.
What to have ready: a glass jar, glue, tissue paper, scissors, and a tea light or small candle.
One ticket covers your whole family. Best for children ages 4 to 10, with a grown-up.
Hosted by Juliana Betti, educator with Harvard's Certificate in School…
